How can i wash/clean bath mats without ruining them?

I used to put them in the washing machine but they get worn out and fall apart.How can i wash/clean bath mats without ruining them?
they should have come with a CARE LABEL detailing water temp, dry cycle etc. if the label's gone by now, use the slowest spin cycle on your washing machine, and hang them outside.


or you can just just hand wash them and hang outside in the sun on clothing line.
