You can get a ';plastic'; hat keeper (for lack of the proper title of it) at any Wal-Mart or like store, that is in the shape of a baseball cap. You open it up, put your hat on it and it closes over the hat. Then put it on the top rack of a diswasher (if you have one). The hat keeper allows the cap to get washed and maintain it's shape at the same time. If you don't have a dishwasher, you could probably wash the hat by hand, with the cap keeper, and let it dry staying in shape.What's the best way to wash or clean a dirty baseball hat?

Dishwasher. Sounds weird, I know, but it works without ruining the shape of your hat.
i always put mine in the washing machine. but sometimes it can ruin the shape of the hat so sometimes if your worried about that u can take it to the dry cleaners and that works.

Dish washer is the best way. They even make these plastic things that hold the shape of the hat while it washes and dries. You can get them at places like bed bath and beyond. I you don't want to purchase one just put a bowl under it so it hold the shape while it washes. You can dry it on the bowl also or stuff it with newspaper so it holds the shape you want.

I always make a mixture of laundry det. and water %26amp; scrub w/ a toothbrush. Then dry on top of a jar or a wig head (not sure what the technical name is).
