Should I wash or clean up the natural oil on my face?

I notice my face got natural oil. Should we clean up or wash out the oil on our face, especially before going to bed at night, or just leave it there?Should I wash or clean up the natural oil on my face?
It's best to wash the excess as it can clog your pores and cause problems. Don't overdo it. The natural skin oil helps condition and protect your skin.

A little reasonable cleaning won't hurt anything. Don't try to take all the oil away, though.Should I wash or clean up the natural oil on my face?
Wash your face dude
wash ur face
wash your face thoroughly every other day or so.. then just clean it up in between. by washing out the oils often, your face feels the need to make even more oil than necessary so don't wash your face too much.
face wash
juz wash ur face in the mornin n before bed, the natural oil is used to protect our skin, washin face too often will make our face dry so leave it ther but wash face before bed lol
Wash it because if you don't you will get pimples or blackheads.

Is there a way to wash ';dry clean only'; clothing at home without ruining them?

I have so many clothes that need to be dry cleaned, but don't have the time or money to take them to the cleaners. Is there an easier way?Is there a way to wash ';dry clean only'; clothing at home without ruining them?
I have washed many dry clean only clothes in the washer on gentle/cold, with woolite, then use a bit of fabric softener in the rinse cycle and put in the drier on gentle for about 30 minutes, take out and hang and shape and air dry the rest of the way. I even did it with mens suit pants and it worked fine. Try it first on one of your least favorite things and see if you get it to work.Is there a way to wash ';dry clean only'; clothing at home without ruining them?
It's true that a gentle cycle will usually be okay - but hand washing is even kinder on your clothes! It's a pain though so I don't blame you if you can't be bothered! Report Abuse

svit dry cleaning kit. One available on ebay.co.uk at moment.
There is a product called Dryel. The cost for the starter kit is approximately $10.

They have a website where you can order the product on line if your local stores don't have it. The website even has tips on cleaning spots and stains. http://www.dryel.com/

I have used it because I have quite a bit of dry cleaning also. Your clothing comes out smelling great and not like chemicals. You might have to do a light pressing with an iron to have the polished look. This stuff is definitely a money saver and a life saver.
yes, there are these special bags that you can probably get at Wal Mart or Target that you put in the dryer with your dry-clean only clothes in them. my aunt has used them forever and she says they work just as good, if not better, than a dry cleaner, sorry i cant tell you the name of them though.
There is a line of products on the market that allow you to use your dryer ... http://www.dryel.com/ . Personally, I have washing dry clean only clothes in the washer and let them dry.
Anything that is dry clean only can be hand-washed. Use laundry detergent for delicates and ensure the water is luke warm or cool, rather than hot.

Whats the best way to wash and clean lace curtains?

Also, is there anything else I need to do to maintain them?

They have collected a lot of dust, is there a better alternative that still lets in light but offers privacy?Whats the best way to wash and clean lace curtains?
you can take them down and gently shake the dust out of them outside.

place them in your washing machine and wash them on the gentlest cycle. They should be fine, but for extra protection, you could put them in a pillow case.Whats the best way to wash and clean lace curtains?
dry cleaners
By hand with Woollite.
Send them to the laundry.
you can wash them in the washing machine on low and hang them to dry then iron them. you can use blinds for privacy if that is what you want. you can close the blinds at night and open them in the day. hokey?
Chuck them in the sink, and leave them for the missus to do
arehahreahaeyhty
take the curtain downe. get some wolite--- run some luke warm water in a sink, and let them set inn woolite for a while the, hand drain the curtains- rinse them of really good, put them upo on hangers and let them-- hand dry or if you got a clothes dryer put them on the flufff- cycle-- best too let them hand dry on hangers t thou hons!!
You can start by putting them in the dryer without heat to ';dust'; them. If you think they are in need of a washing then put them in the wash on gentle. And when you put them in the dryer use low or no heat.
i just wash mine in the washer on delicat setting and then hang them up after they are washed.
i wiash mine like my mom taught me.... take them down.... air them outside for a couple hours on a good windy day.... then twice as much water as normally would use.... gentle cycle.... add a clean sheet then the curtians.... 1/4 cup of white vinegar in the wash or rinse. air dry them. the vinager is a whitener, softner and disenfectant and no i promise they won't smell! if they are slightly discolored leave them outside int he sunshine a bit longer and you will find the suns natural bleaching agent take over -and yes i know it's winter as long as it's not snowing....
soak then im warm water in a curtain whitner available from all supermarkets
Put them in a lingerie laundry bag (one of those net ones) or inside a pillow case you can tie up before throwing in the washer.

They won't get torn up that way.

If you want to put that privacy film on the glass on your windows it does work really well for letting in light but you can't see through it. My daughter did that in her downstairs, she has a contemporay look and didn't want curtains. It turned out really nice. You either have to have a steady hand or just hire a glass company to do it so you get a nice job. The guys that put the tinting on car windows usually do the privacy film as well.

I wish to buy a pressure washer to clean patios, wash car etc. What is the best on the market for that work?

Must of the karcher range will do the job just fineI wish to buy a pressure washer to clean patios, wash car etc. What is the best on the market for that work?
an electric model works great for around the home. its easy to store and requires no maintnace on an engine. be sure to keep your preassure washer in a warm place in the winter or you can damage the pump. the big difference in preassure washers is how fast they will clean. a 1900 psi will clean slower then a 3500 psi. but your chance of doing damage is a lot lessI wish to buy a pressure washer to clean patios, wash car etc. What is the best on the market for that work?
my husband bought one from habourfreight.com. it is one third the price of home depot (even with shipping). it 's not high end, but good enough for residential use. it's made in China ( tell me what is not?)
You have plenty to chose from. 2200 PSI will do the job.

    Troy-Bilt from Lowes.

    Craftsmen from Sears.

    Briggs and Stratton from TSC.

All of these will outperform Karchers.
They vary in price etc so you could check this out through Which magazine. They may have back issues in your library . You need to let the unit cool down at intervals to prolong its life. Do the jobs in stages it's kinder on your back etc too.
Yea, Karcher. Got one myself. Just the job for patio etc
get a karcher one there the best...............

Can you hand wash dry clean only blankets and pillow shams?

I told my mom it's dry clean only but she thinks she might be able to hand wash it. I don't want it ruined.I think I might buy the home dry cleaning kits and do it myself. How do you make someone understand it'll ruin the material if you even hand wash dry clean only materials? I know even delicate/ hand wash only clothes I have been ruined by her throwing them into the washing machine. Can you hand wash dry clean only blankets and pillow shams?
It really depends on the fabric. Manufacturers put the absolute safest way to clean a material. Do a search on the fabric to see about cleaning restrictions/recommendations.

It's the agitation of the machine more than the water that damages delicate fabrics in a washing machine. Can you hand wash dry clean only blankets and pillow shams?
You might also want to point out that a blanket is very hard to wring out because of the size and that it will take forever to dry and wringing out the item may also damage it.
Usually when something is dry clean only it is because it will shrink or the colour isnt colourfast in water.
Dry cleaning means no water is involved so I would mention that to her. Good Luck
if it says dry clean only then dry clean only she is going to ruin your pillow shams and other stuff if you let her hand wash them go buy the stuff you were talking about that you put in the dryer the home aid dry cleaning kit do not let mother next to your bedding.

Can you wash dry clean only clothes with a mild detergent in the washing machine?

I've heard you can avoid going to the cleaner's, and just do what it says above, or you can wash them in the sink. I hope you can, because I've heard cleaners cost an arm and a leg.Can you wash dry clean only clothes with a mild detergent in the washing machine?
NO NO NO! you will ruin your clothes! Can you wash dry clean only clothes with a mild detergent in the washing machine?
I would use dryel or another home ';dry cleaning'; product. I've had good results with all the name brand products. I've used the products for 4-5 times between taking the item to the dry cleaner. I'd use the dryel instead of the hand washing method. Dryel costs about $1.00 per use and can do 1-4 items at a time. Some items can be hand washed in cool water with a non enzyme detergent made specifically for hand washing. I'd be very leary of using a washing machine unless it has a delicate or wool/silk setting and a temperature selector as the agitation/heat can damage dry clean only items. You can not use a dryer to dry the items--lay flat only.
hand washing in cold water is my prefered method, then drip dry or if its a sweater then lay flat to dry.
The reason for dry cleaning is because a lot of fabrics will either shrink or fade in the washing machine. Fading usually means that the color is bleeding, so you could ruin an entire load of laundry. Try looking for Dryell. It will freshen up your dry clean only clothes and comes with a stain removal kit that works well.
NO, but there are products you can use at home to clean them. One is called DRYEL and you use it in the dryer.
well you can take it from an idiot(ME) that tried it,,and let me tell you it does not work!! ruined the article I tried it on,,,use the cleaning service!
I wash silks and sweaters in my washer on delicate. I have a washer that tumbles the clothes and when the cycle is finished the don't have a wrinkle in them. Otherwise I have to press my silk shirts.
i did this with one of my new sweaters, it shrunk so my child wears it now!

    DONT RISK IT!
Alot of fabrics can not get wet hence the ';dry'; part of dry clean only. You are risking damaging your garment by washing it in the machine or sink. I have accidentally washed some and ruined them and others have been fine but I would rather be safe than sorry. Especially if the garment is expensive.

I say, if it's worth paying for and saving then get it dry cleaned. If it's something you aren't worried about all that much then go ahead and wash it.
I have very few dry clean only clothes but I do it! I hate having to go the to cleaners. I only want to wash my clotes all one way and get it over with!
It really depends on the material but I have done this numerous times with minimal problems.
Completely depends on the fabric . . .

A lined suit or lined wool garment will have to be dry cleaned, but I launder in the sink, all silk %26amp; down jackets in lukewarm water %26amp; woolite (there will be some dye bleed but dry cleaning strips silk %26amp; down of its natural oils). Wash each silk item seperately %26amp; rinse in Downy. The top loading machines are too brutal on evan regular clothes, so I would rarely do that, unless it is a front loader.

I use a dry cleaner about once every 10 years %26amp; my items last years longer.
i have a few pants that i've done that with. then i hang them to dry and press the wrinkles out. but it really depends on the material and whether you want to risk and experiment.

How to wash or clean a leather wallet?

    hi there;

i have had a leather wallet (brown) for 4 years. since it was always in my back pocket it absorbed my perspiration so now it smells stink.

how can i wash it? im afraid to destroy it with putting it into washmachine or wash it with chemical powders coz it`s original leather and very expensive. How to wash or clean a leather wallet?
Never put leather, suede or wool in a washing machine!

If the leather has a sealant on it, you may use saddle soap. If its nubuck leather you cannot. If you're not sure, spot test it to see if it stains (on an interior side). You can also use leather cleaning wipes to clean it out. Sprinkle baking soda on it will also absorb many odors and won't stain. How to wash or clean a leather wallet?
    Saddle soap
get leather cleaner, you can buy it almost everywhere. It comes in thick pastes and sprays

Can I wash dry clean only garments at home by handwashing or gentle wash in the washing machine?

I have three suits that I wear for work and really object to having to pay to get them cleaned. I wanted to know if anyone out there has any handy tips for avoiding dry cleaning costs. Can I wash dry clean only garments at home by handwashing or gentle wash in the washing machine?
You can try one of the kits on the market, like Dryel, that's really good and costs less then dry cleaning.

For stains on dry clean only clothing, use something VERY mild, like club soda. Pour the club soda directly on the stain and blot. Then carbonation will lift the stain and the salt in it will prevent it from staining. Keep blotting the stain until it comes up.

You can also take out odors in clothing by spraying the insides of them with vodka! Turn them inside out, so that you have the wrong side of the material facing you, spray with vodka and then hang to dry, this takes out any sweat odors and vodka's a disinfectant. I wouldn't soak the clothing with it, but spritz it lightly with it, just make sure you're doing it on the inside of the clothing, not the right side, that faces out, you want the side that touches your body when you're wearing them. Can I wash dry clean only garments at home by handwashing or gentle wash in the washing machine?
I wash all my dry clean only.....I use gentle cycle and then ';fluff'; them-the no heat setting on your dryer and then hang them up.
Do you re-use paper towels? Do you re-fill your cologne bottles from the testers in department stores? Do you roll your own toilet paper rolls from public restrooms? Do you ask for hot water and ketchup to make tomato soup at lunch counters?

The above are just a few more handy tips for avoiding the normal costs of living.
I have used the home dry cleaning kits and they do a good

job. For suits I would use the home kit and then take to dry cleaners for press only which is a fraction of the cost for the full service treatment at the dry cleaners. The problem with washing suits the lining shrinks and the suit loses the original line and fit. Maybe once or twice a year have them professionally dry cleaned. Good Luck
i usually use cold water and the at home dry cleaner kits they work great.
There are home dry cleaner products, however, I wouldn't use them on a suit. A suit is an investment in your future and dry cleaning is an investment in your suit. Dry cleaning costs are part of the cost of living, a part of the cost of success.
I have washed many ';dry clean only'; garments and never ruined one. I use cold water, gentle detergent on gentle cycle and don't put them in the dryer. It seems to work fine.
i use the wool wash cycle on my machine for dry clean only clothing
the only thing i do not hand wash of dry clean only is pure wool as it will shrink. you can buy sheets that go in your dryer on low to get that better than dry clean for the wool only. have you ever notice the smell in the clothes you take to the dry cleaners. most clothes are cleaned with a by product of gasoline.

How to wash/clean my reversible jacket?

I bought a hooded jacket from San francisco on July 4th due to the frightful cold! It was an emergency. It is pretty, pink thick one which has a water-repellant (resistant? waterproof?) exterior and a fleece reversible side inside. It came for a descent price but really great for a cold night. Right now, it is not soiled. But I was just wondering how to wash it because I noticed that there are no washing instructions on it. Or would that go for dry cleaning? How to wash/clean my reversible jacket?
I have a few jackets that are somewhat similar to what you have described , and I wash them at home . What I do is add a mild detergent in the machine , set it on gentle cycle and cold water , once it starts to fill with water and has the detergent concentrated I put my jacket in the machine , and let it wash for I think the gentle cycle on my washer washes for 6 minutes on gentle with a short pause , well when it is time for the rinse I add fabric softener , but I pour a very small amount of my desired softener into a cup and add water to it so that when the machine fills u with water it is ready to pour in , and then I know that the fabric softener had been diluted and will not stain my jacket this way .

When it is ready to be dryed I put it into the dryer on low heat for 15 minutes to get some of the main wetness gone , and after that I let it finish drying on the air dry setting .

In some of my jackets and or hoodies I have noticed that the care tag is smetimes located in a pocket , one jacket I have has the care tag inside the inner pocket under a little piece of fabric . So search your Jacket all over to make sure if there is a care tag or not Just to be in the safe side , but I even wash my dry clean only jackets doing this , and I have had no problems what so ever with them.

Good Luck !!How to wash/clean my reversible jacket?
Check all the inside seams for washing instructions...otherwise try a cold gentle cycle and hang to air dry.

Does body wash clean as much as bar soap in the shower?

When you take a shower, do you prefer body wash or bar soap?

I'm wondering if body wash (such as Axe, Old Spice, Dove etc) contains any antibacterial ingredients that clean your skin, rather than simply contain fragrances that make you smell good...

thanks!Does body wash clean as much as bar soap in the shower?
Dial Anti Bacterial Body wash is a one-two punch because it has anti-bacterial ingredients and comes in different fragrances.

I prefer body wash just because I squeeze some onto a body pouf, and when I use the pouf on my body it has an exfoliating effect. Or if I squeeze some onto a sponge, that exfoliates too, moreso than my fingers do.

And the truth is, it's soap. Its ionic properties work with water to remove dirt from your skin. Nothing kills germs like good old soap and water.Does body wash clean as much as bar soap in the shower?
It will clean you, but the best thing to do, by a scrub, because for every person supose to be using it 1 time per week, because every body needs to get an exfoliation of dead skin cells. that will clean you the best

Also, if your machine has a temperature selector on it, you could turn this to cold and choose the woolen cycle if there is no hand wash cycle. yes, it. i also look at the label in case i need to hand wash it or machine wash it. but you dont need to dry clean it. its you're too lazy, you can tumble dry low.

as long as you tell them dry clean and not wash.

Is it possible to put into the washer foam filled pillows that we sleep on? if not..how do i clean them/wash?

i have feather pillows..but it is getting to be a hassel..those i did throw into the washer..i want to know..what can i do about foam filled pillows..can i wash them? i assume that i cannot put them into a dryer? can I? to dry after i would wash them..that is if i can wash them?Is it possible to put into the washer foam filled pillows that we sleep on? if not..how do i clean them/wash?
I did wash one a long time ago because the tag on the pillow said we could wash them, and it did fine. No, we cannot put them in the dryer, they will come to pieces.

I put ours outside to dry. Don't forget to turn them over in a couple of hours to let the other side dry too.

However.....if they are old, they will come apart in the washer and you will have a mess on your hands.

Pillows are on sell now at J.C. Penney's. We just bought two Sealy posturepedic for under $20.00.

I like to put a zip cover over ours, and then the pillow case. I wash both once per week (cover and case). This keeps the pillows clean longer.

http://www3.jcpenney.com/jcp/categoryall鈥?/a>Is it possible to put into the washer foam filled pillows that we sleep on? if not..how do i clean them/wash?
the washer is fine then dryer i go to the landry mat get the biger cycle then put in the biger dryer
Wash them probably at laundrymat with commercial size washer and dry them on medium heat with tennis balls (two) just as you would a down comforter or pillow.
Yes, you can wash them in the washer--but when you put them in the dryer, the foam may ball up, depending on the quality of the pillow. I've HEARD that if you put a couple of tennis balls in the dryer with them, it will keep the foam/fiberfill beat evenly in them. I haven't tried it yet.
Check the content and care labels. Generally, if pillows are filled with foam, they can be washed by hand in a large sink or bathtub using mild detergent and warm water. Air-dry them (the foam can crumble in the dryer).

If they're polyester, the pillows can be tossed into the washing machine. Wash two at a time to balance the load, and set machine on the gentle cycle; agitate only one to two minutes. Once detergent is totally rinsed out, tumble-dry on low, fluffing them often. (Note: The same procedure works for down pillows, but they'll take much longer to dry. Before laundering, check seams to be sure they're secure. And place a couple of tennis balls or an old clean tennis shoe in the dryer with the pillows to help plump them up.) Using a fabric-softener sheet in the dryer should add a fresh fragrance.

If the pillows have been around for a while, or you absolutely can't get rid of the odor, replace and recycle them to use as bedding for pets. Fortunately, most pillows are relatively inexpensive, and it's money well spent when you consider how much we use them (every night!) and how long they last.
take to a laundry mat use a front end washer with mild soap

When does Garnier Deep clean cream wash expire?

I got it ages ago, maybe a year now. I started using it when i first bought it and wasnt happy with it so i stopped. I found it in yesterday

and i wanted to start using it again but i dont know if it expires? When does Garnier Deep clean cream wash expire?
Does it have a picture on the back of what looks like an open jar with a number inside of it? If so then it expires that many months after you open it. So if it has the number 12 for example then 12 months after you open it is when it expires. When does Garnier Deep clean cream wash expire?
Not sure if stuff like that expires at all, but if its been opened i'd personally toss it after a year and a half or so... after two for sure!!!

Maybe that will give you an idea. But its totally not based on any facts, just my personal opinion!

I need to clean my wash tub in the laundry room.?

This is the hard plastic material that, overtime, has become stained and dirty. Any one know of a good cleaner. I've tried almost everything, including Rust-Off thinking that would clean the bottom -- nothing works. Is it stained beyond cleaning? Thanks all.I need to clean my wash tub in the laundry room.?
You might try WD40 to get the rust out of the bottom of the tub. I would try before using the WD40 mix together apple cider vinegar and baking soda making a paste and let it soak in the tub then scrub. Rinse well then try the Wd40.

I might add Wd40 is a good water repellent.I need to clean my wash tub in the laundry room.?
Not sure where you are from, but do you have Magic Erasers there? Those things work magic.

Also, did you try some bleach, and letting it sit a bit in there, diluted with some water?

    Either of these options.

Otherwise you may have to toss it, sometimes even hard plastic bites the dust.
Can you get your hands on some Jif, or Ajax, or some kind of cream cleanser. Works wonders.

  • How Should I Wash/Clean My Jansport Book Bag?

I have a Jansport book bag...It has black and white skull heads on it and it's getting darker and quite dirty...How should I wash it?

Idk what to do cuz I don't want to mess it up cuz I like you because of the skulls...anyhoo, How should I wash it?How Should I Wash/Clean My Jansport Book Bag?
Simple Tide with bleach alternative. Its safe for colors and in the Jansport material the color wont bleed especially cuz its black. If you have any stains on the skulls just pre-treat them and then scrub em with a toothbrush. Its a hassle but it works. How Should I Wash/Clean My Jansport Book Bag?
If it has a care tag check what it says. Regardless, washing it by hand is probably best.

Try a Mr. Clean Magic erasure. You can get them at Target or a grocery store. I use these for all sorts of gentle cleaning tasks; the white on my shoes, the colored embroidery on caps, etc. Works great and when combined with mild detergent Woolite it is very effective.

How do i wash/clean my umbrella cockatoo?

i have a eight year old cockatoo, and she hates it when i wash her with a spray bottle and is scared of the shower. is there a nother way?How do i wash/clean my umbrella cockatoo?
My cockatoos are hard to bath also. But the way I found to give them a bath was to put them in the bath tub one at a time and turn on the shower head to a fine mist spray and let them walk around in the tub. Adjust the water to a warm temperate so the warm water cuts thru their feathers. You can sit and watch them get totally wet. You don't have to touch them. They will get wet all by there self's .

Sometimes birds don't know how to bath. Especially the handfed ones. So you have to be very careful on how you introduce bathing.

Good luck! Have fun in the tub!

If you have any further questions feel free to contact me....How do i wash/clean my umbrella cockatoo?
my parrot will take showers and also bathes in his water dish...i don't recommend trying to make your bird bathe in her dish, though. try filling a heavy bowl or tray with lukewarm water and putting it on the bottom of her cage or play area. some birds also like things to interact with like toys or veggies (parsley, celery, other greens...). my parakeet also just likes to rub on spritzed parsley but 'toos are a little big for that. you can ask your vet or pet shop, too, for recommendations or ideas. good luck ;)
I have a perch I put in the kitchen sink for my cockatoo, I turn the water on light and he loves to get under the water and stretch his wings out. You can also try putting a bowl with water in their cage so that they can get down on the bottom of the cage and wash themselves

You can try to put parts water and parts bleach in a spray bottle and spray it..but you may get discoloration.
409 works well for walls that are incidentally dirty. Use the Mr. Clean Eraser for tougher. ie., crayons, lipstick (don't ask how I know that last one - it's a long story). That thing is awesome for removing just about anything.

How long before I see results with Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash?

I started using this product at the beginning of this week once a day and now I've increased to twice a day. I have a scattering of pimples on my forehead and cheeks - how long before I see results with this cleanser, as in clearer, less oily skin? How long before I see results with Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash?
This is probably good. I'v e never tried that particualr face wash, but I know that when i started my clean routine, i saw more pimples coming. But by the end of the week the were lgetting smaller, and lessening. When you start using the cleanser, it works to get all the acne causing chemicals out of your skin, which brings out more pimples. Use the wash regualry, twice a day, and in the long run, there should be good results.

    Hope this helped :)

I have a big teddy bear that I want to clean because is dirty and I don't want to get rid of it?How to clean or wash big Teddy Bears?
This is best done in one of the larger more industrial front loader washers at the laundramat. Use a mild soap formula like woolite. The front loaders do not have the aggitators and will ensure that your bear might not need re-stitching. They also can wash larger items like large comforters and carpets. How to clean or wash big Teddy Bears?

    Hi,

Go to the laundromat and put in the biggest washer.
I used to put mine in a washing machine.
Your local Laundromat should have one of those big tumble washers. Can't remember the correct name but they work great for washing big items.
Too big for washer machine right?

Buy or rent or borrow a clean machine/ wet vac type- mild detergent

suck away moisture sun dry... lil bit water/detergent goes long way apply with empty spray bottle if needed...

try small out of the way spot first for nasty effects- say bottom(bleeding- my bear!)
put it in a mesh laundry bag - or a big pillowcase will do in a pinch, just make sure it's closed with a safety pin or two - and toss it in on the gentle cycle with plenty of soap :) Always worked for my grandma (washing the bears, not somebody washing the grandma lol).
Go to the laundry mat and use a Big Boy, use the gentle cycle on warm- as long as he is not filled with bean's..If he is filled with bean's he may need to go to the dry cleaners. Don't put teddy in the dryer let him air dry .
take it to the dry cleaners
Arm %26amp; Hammer baking soda. Sprinkle it on and let it set for 15 minutes. Then you can use the vac to get it off.
my suggestion would be: put the bear in a white pillowcase and tie it up. wash it on a gentle cycle in cool water and hang it out to dry.

    Bath Time

To give your cabbage patch kids a bath, use warm water and mild soap, like Woolite. Do not get the hair or head wet. You can use a soft tooth brush to scrub heavy soiled areas. After a good washing squeeze out the water, do not wring. You may have to do this several times. Pat the doll dry with a towel and then let it air dry on a dry towel in a warm spot. You can put it outside in the sun to dry as well. Don't forget to turn it over after a while. Do Not put your cabbage patch doll in a bag or wrapped in a towel to dry. Make sure your cabbage patch doll is totally dry; you may want to keep it in the sun for a day or two just to make sure.

  • How can I clean or wash polyester batting or fiberfill?

I'm re-upholstering my patio chair cushions. I want to reuse the ';stuffing';( fiberfill or polyester batting) but after years of use even when I discarded the original fabric cover, they are full of dirt and dust. They're too big to put in a pillow cover (aproximately 2 x 4 feet and 3 independent layers of 1'; thick) The original covers were totally destroyed, so I had to dipose them. How can I clean/wash these without loosing shape. thickness and texture? How can I clean or wash polyester batting or fiberfill?
You can spray some soapy water on them and wash them out with the hose or in you bath tub. They are outdoor cushions and made to get wet. You will need to try and prop them on the side to allow the water to drain out. On a sunny day they will dry fast. You might have to reshape a little bit when you put them in the cover but they will conform to the new cover. Just handle them carefully. Good luckHow can I clean or wash polyester batting or fiberfill?
Wash them in a large, flat area. Lay the batting down in there with some water and use a mild detergent like Wool-lite because it is easy to wash out and does not require a lot of wringing remove the soap.

With the batting in the flat area, maybe the tub, run some warm water over them, add the detergent, and gently work the detergent in by pressing the batting down and turning over. Do this a couple of times to allow the dirt to make its way out. Then rinse as well as possible. Take outside and let dry.

I have so many clothes that are ';hand wash only';. I just have no time to hand wash everything. Any suggestions? How do I clean ';hand wash only'; clothes without actually sitting there and hand washing each and every one?
The first response was absolutely correct. Hang them and let them drip dry or put it on very low heat if you need to have it dry fast. How can I clean the wash drum in my fairly new washing machine?

Absolutely ';hot'; water, regular detergent, bleach if you like, high water setting, add a cup of baking soda to the water and let agitate. Then add some heavy towels or dish towels that can use a bleaching, these will help wipe the wall of the drum as it agitates. It may take several washings to get it off if you have a heavy build up. You could also spray some CLR on the drum and let stand a few minutes then run a wash cycle with some cleaning rags to wipe the drum as it agitates. How can I clean the wash drum in my fairly new washing machine?
baking soda is one of the best things to remove grease as that is what is coming off the face cloths some people add lemon juice

Try Iron Out. It will clean washing machines, dishwashers, and even takes rust stains and yellowing out of clothes! It is sold as a powder in the aisle with dishwashing and laundry detergent. Small white plastic jug. Costs about $3(US).
When you do your wash, at the rinse cycle add 1 cup of white vinegar, this will take care of the scum on your drum, and it will also take any odors out of your clothes, that might be there. You can also use 1/2 cup of white vinegar and 1 cup of warm water and a sponge and clean the drum. this will definitely help.

Fill them with a 50/50 water and vinegar solution, soak over night. Then pour most of solution out and shake the bottles until they are clean.Does anyone know how to clean/wash old odd shaped clear bottles? I found them at an old home site.?
try soaking them in Whoolite vary hot waterDoes anyone know how to clean/wash old odd shaped clear bottles? I found them at an old home site.?
The first suggestion is good, you can also use a bottle brush to get dried on gunk out after soaking.
Fill the bottles with hot water and then put in broken dental tabs (for cleaning false teeth) and let sit overnight or try white vinegar and either alka seltzer (or generic) tablets or baking soda (this fizzes so be careful). Also let sit overnight. Good luck.
For small mouthed bottles, I clip a wire coat hanger and open it out. On one end I make a closed in hook and tie a small rag onto it. The rag has to be small enough to go through the bottle opening. The heavy wire allows you to put bends in it to get around inside as necessary.

Fill the bottle with soapy water and let it sit for at least an hour....this will loosen up the dirt.

I cleaned a 8 gallon water jug with a 1 1/2 inch mouth this way.
Your best bet is to buy a couple of small bags or containers of BBs - like what they use in BB guns.

Get the copper ones if at all possible.

About 100 - 150 will do just fine.

Wash out the bottle with hot water. Then add a little hot water and add some chorlox bleach - then put the BBs into the bottle and shake them furiously up and down as well as sideways, making sure you put your hand - or cover on the bottle so the BBs and the liquid will not splash out!

After a while they will ';clean'; up all of the dirt that was coating the inside of the bottle.

    Good Luck
I use a cleaner that's called ';Grease Lighting'; most wal-marts, targets, and dollar stores have it. Its a strong cleaner so make sure your glass isn't painted. If it is painted then what I usually do is soak it in just plain ole soap and water(nothing with lemon because it will damage the paint). I also use a baby bottle cleaning brush to get on the inside and around corners I cant get to with my dish cloth. Good luck!

Is liquid soap safe to clean wash my uncircumcised penis?

Orange, like softsoap or Dial...Is liquid soap safe to clean wash my uncircumcised penis?
It's much safer than using Draino and a wire brush. Is liquid soap safe to clean wash my uncircumcised penis?
I can't speak from experience, I'm circumcised. But when I was 12 and so was my uncircumcised friend, he told me that it hurt to touch his penis head with soap, but soapy water was OK. I would suggest you be careful with any soap you put on your penis. Some of those liquid soaps are detergent-based, and so can be irritating. I use the clear glycerin soaps myself, because I have dry skin. You can probably get your penis clean enough with just warm water, but if you want to use soap - just go slow and easy. OK?
Be careful, and try it on a small area first, don't leave it on too long as the penis can be easily irritated by harsh soaps,

you're lucky that your parents cared enough about you to leave you whole and intact, the way nature intended.

Many guys were circumcised, and only have half of the sensitivity that you will enjoy in sex.
Those kind of soaps might be a little irritating. It's good to wash it, especially under the foreskin, but use a very mild soap. Like Ivory or Dove. Anything unscented and hypoallergenic.
You know, water alone is all you need to wash your penis. You might use soap in the general area, but it could dry out your penis, especially the hea.
I would just use water if I were you, soap can often irritate the area and cause dry skin or infections. But if it's really mild soap and you rinse it well then it should be ok.
    uh, yes, perfectly fine
ya it is safe any soap is safe as long as it is non toxic
    it could irritate it
yea i dont see any issue with using those soaps to wash your unit just rinse it good so there is none left

    curtdude
Yeah.. I dont know those types... but a mild soap is the a good choice... one with aloe moisturiser is even better.
Should be. Just make sure you rinse VERY thoroughly.
    Sure.
    i think it is safe

Has anyone tried the neutrogena deep clean wash?

im looking for a new facial cleanser and cant decide between garnier pure 3 in 1 or neutrogena deep clean wash. has anyone tried either of them and if so, what were your thoughts on them. thanks.Has anyone tried the neutrogena deep clean wash?
I can't recommend one or the other because the days when facial cleanser worked for me are long gone now...

I do recall the deep clean helping tremendously and making my face feel like a dream...that was right after being on accutane for 2 months (mom took me off because my frickin personality ';changed'; or something.)Has anyone tried the neutrogena deep clean wash?
I've heard that neutrogena is good but some say that its too harsh on their skin. I'm also thinking of switching from the body shop tea tree facial wash to neutrogena deep clean facial wash because the body shop products are too costly.

I heard that sebamed is good though. Still thinking whether I should stick to the body shop or change to sebamed/neutrogena. I have a very oily t zone.

    Never heard much about garnier.
I use it... I love it.

My advice though, is to use the deep clean (which is a scrub) once every few days, and use a gentler facial cleanser for everyday (neutrogena has a basic cleanser too). I use both of those, and i also have and use and the toner when my skin is broken out bad.

    Hope that helps! :)
yes, and it dried out my face. i suggest mary kay timewise. there's 2 different formulas. one is for normal/dry skin the other for combo/oily.

    Sure.

yes, and it dried out my face. i suggest mary kay timewise. there's 2 different formulas. one is for normal/dry skin the other for combo/oily.

you can find a consultant by going to marykay.com and entering your zip code!

Neutrogena gave me an allergic reaction, the chemicals in it seem really intense.
I have tried neutrogena fash wash before. it was the only face wash that made my face have an allergic reaction. im sure it wont for everyone but why not try both?

    And they are fine.

    no dry clean.

and I save money! I worked at a drycleaners for 2 years and I know

    THEY WANT YOUR MONEY!!!!

    They wash them!

ya reallyHow do i wash/clean my own feather pillows and put them in new cases?
If you dry clean feather pillows, the feathers will become brittle and break and then poke through the casing. Dry cleaning solution strips the oils from the feathers. Wash the pillows in cool water and then tumble dry low in a large dryer with a couple of clean, dry, large towels and an old, clean pair of canvas shoes or a couple of clean tennis balls to fluff. Then, slit open the seam at the end and dump into a new case, or just put the whole thing into a new case and sew shut. If you need more feathers, just buy another pillow and only add what you need. Store any left over feathers in the original case with your stored clothing or with your sewing supplies.
Sam is 99% right. If they were mine, I'd wash them, as they are, the way she said. Go to a fabric store and buy some ticking. It is a fabric with a very high thread count. (This will keep the feathers from coming out). Sew, or have someone sew, a new ';case'; the same size as the pillow. You can't use a regular pillow case. The thread count will be too low. Open the old cover and dump the feathers in. Sew up the opening, and put on a new regular case.
    Dry clean only.
It depends on how you want to go about it; Frist sad to say you have to cut it open and carefully place the feathers in some thing you can't wash the feathers... at least as far as i know....then the second part to that is you could either buy a new case of a color you may like. i don't kow if where you live if there is a store that sells pillow cases and from there on out you just wash as regular...
    Hope this helps.

Feathers are made to get wet. I wash my feathers in the kitchen sink. Fill basin with warm sudsy water, use woolite or baby shampoo. Slosh around. Add feathers or boa. I drain water carefully with boa still in sink. Rinse and drain. When almost dry remove and lay flat on several towells to dry. I'm not sure why you need to wash them, if it's due to dust then try to shake/remove as much dust first.

How to Clean a Feather Bed

Contrary to popular opinion, it isn't always necessary to dry clean a feather bed or down bedding. Besides an occasional airing-out to keep the bed fresh, it should be cleaned approximately once a year.

    Steps:

    1. Carefully read the care label on the bed or comforter. It should indicate whether the bed can be washed or should be dry-cleaned.

    2. Before washing, check for tears in the fabric. The process of washing could cause the feathers to ';explode'; out of the cover.

    3. Use a large-capacity washer.

    4. Select the cold-water wash cycle and use liquid detergent.

    5. Tumble dry low or medium in a large-capacity dryer. Toss in a few tennis balls or a clean tennis shoe to keep the down fluffy.

    6. Remove bedding from the dryer several times during the drying process and shake out, then return to dryer. Drying may take several hours.

    7. Remove the bedding from the dryer as soon as it is dry. Be sure it is completely dry before putting it back on the bed. Wet feathers can rot.

    8. To keep a feather bed fresh between cleanings, hang it out in the air and sunshine for a day.

    Overall Tips:

You also can hand-wash a feather bed or down comforter in the bathtub. Be advised that the bed will be extremely heavy once it is wet.

Check to see if the store you bought the bed from offers feather bed cleanings. A complete renovation should be done approximately every five years and should be done by a feather bed dealer.

Protect your feather bed or down comforter with a feather-bed cover or duvet cover.

Using a front-loading washer makes it easier to remove the item after it has been washed.

    Overall Warnings:

Never try to wash a feather bed or comforter that has a Dry Clean Only label. How Do You Wash/Clean A Feather Bed?
TAKE TO DRY CLEANER....OTHERWISE IT NEVER COMPLETELY DRIES AND YOU HAVE UNPLEAS. ODOR
It's best to have it professionally dry cleaned.

It takes a long time for them to dry and there is a funny smell from the feathers when they get wet that really never goes away.

you can wash it in the washing machine on gentle and to protect it put it inside a regular oversized pillow case with the end knotted. you can also dry it on low.

Dishwasher is the easiest. And does work the best.
put the washer setting on handwash if you have it. Dont forget to spot the hat first. Do not dry in dryer.
I usually wash mine by hand just with regular shampoo. Inside, Out, Bill and all. I then air dry and work it a little bit since its a little stiff afterwards but that has kept the color on and the stains off of mine.
in the dish washer ......with a frame you can get at most cap shops...works very well.............good luck
I have washed caps before in washing machine and trust me it will ruin it. The best way to wash them would be by hand this way the cap doesn't get all distorted on you, hang to dry!
I have washed my dad's hats and now my son's hats for several years now with no problems by washing them in the washing machine. Pre-treat if you have anything that looks like you would have trouble getting out.

After the cycle, place the hat over the bottom of a pot or pan from your kitchen. It will help it hold it's shape when it's drying.

Presto! No extra money spent on a hat frame!

    Good Luck!
you can wash them in the machine only in cold water and turn the cap inside out and add a little vinager to the washing it will come out looking as good as when you bought it.
Hi, I wash them in the dishwasher without a frame and they turn out great. I also wash runners in The dishwasher too and leave them outside to dry when it is warm.

What is the best way to wash/clean a handmade pure wool blanket?

It's one of those beautiful ones from highland Guatemala, and now it unfortunately has fleas. What is the best way to wash/clean a handmade pure wool blanket?
Well, the best way is send to cleaners....

    But for the do-it-yourself approach.

Remember this important note: Never use water warmer than you can stand the touch of, or a HOT(dryer)

You can Hand Wash this in tub with a very little mild detergent (suggest liquid detergent you hand wash dishes with).

The water with detergent will drown the little buggers if you keep it submerged for 30 minutes or more......

Rinse with clean cold water in tub, several times. Lotsa squeezing.

Or, you can hang on outside line and take a garden hose to it-- this does a great good rinse job if you hose from top to bottom - AND helps rinse off dead fleas and eggs.

To dry - put on the clothes line ( if you have one) this is how they are done in country of origin.

After blanket is dry you can use the AIR ONLY cycle of your dryer to shake out the dead fleas. AIR ONLY. means-NO HEAT.

Keep in mind fleas leave eggs that do not drown..which hatch. Meaning project MAY need repeating in 3 or 4 days.

So think about that dry cleaner down the road......

Good Luck. What is the best way to wash/clean a handmade pure wool blanket?

I always use a laundry bar soap called ZOTE to get stains out of things , it is a very gentle soap , but if you do not have any that's fine also , put another small drop of detergent on the stain , and rub the detergent into the stain , rub he stained material of the tie together for a couple of seconds , and then rinse it out in the water to see if your stain is going away or if it has gone away . If the stain is still there repeat this again . Dawn dish liquid is also very good at removing stains as one other person said . Good Luck to you !10 Points: How do you clean/wash a tie?
    Use dawn dish detergent.

Fill the sink with about 3 inches of water(cold)

Wet the stain on the tie, put a few drops of dawn on it, and gently with a toothbrush, go over the stain, then immerse the tie in the water, and swish it back and forth.

Now let the water out and rinse the tie, Get a towel. and place the tie on it, with your hands straighten it out and roll up the towel to remove some on the water in the tie, then hang it over the towel rack. hope that helps.
Millions of dollars are spent trying to convince you to buy there cleaning product and you can't remember one of them! ha. You have given me hope where I've been telling people those ads are just a waste and none of them work anyways. Thank you, thank you.
Get yourself a product named oxy clean since that stuffs mild and works easily to get out tea or grease. Following the package instructions use on the tie.
Have it dry cleaned. It's the only way to clean a tie. Good luck.

What is the best way to clean( wash) my baseball hats? Can I just put it in the washer?

If you put your hat in the washer, it'll get mis-shapen. Plus, if it's wool, it'll shrink.

I suggest you hand-wash the dirty parts with Woolite or some other gentle cleanser. Also, if you're hat smells, try using Frebreeze. Spray the smelly areas and then let it dry outside in the natural sunlight. What is the best way to clean( wash) my baseball hats? Can I just put it in the washer?

The brims can lose their shape if you put them in the washer. Try washing them on the top rack of the dishwasher.

I've also seen plastic ';cages'; for them so they don't get misshapen in the washer, but I don't know where you'd get one.
    dishwasher
they have plastic cages to hold the form when u wash them dish washer would seem like the best way they sell these plastic cages for the hats at wal-mart
Use the upper rack of the dishwasher. Pre-treat all really bad stains before putting them in and then air dry.
I've seen a plastic contraption that you can put the hat in, then put the whole thing in the dishwasher. I don't know how well it works because I have not personally tried it, but I imagine that since dishwashing detergent has bleach in it, it probably works pretty well.
To clean baseball hats, put it in the dishwasher on the top rack! Wash as usual. When done, put the hat on top of a bowl or pitcher for it to re-shape itself. Let it dry, but NOT in the sun or it will fade the hat.
mock said what i would say or do to clean my hubbys cap

  • How to clean/wash cloth belts?

I usually wear a belt with my jeans. My belts are made of cloth and are dirty and stained with blue by the jeans. Is there a way of cleaning them? I'm afraid of throwing them in the washing machine due to the metal buckle, although not large. Thanks! How to clean/wash cloth belts?
    Hi.

I don't think throwing them in the washer is the greatest idea. I'd suggest hand washing them in a bucket of warm water with a stain-removing detergent, and using a sponge to scrub the stains from the jeans.

    Good luck!

    I hope I helped!!

How do you clean/wash a tote bag (cloth bag) that has leather straps ?

please..i really need to wash mine and i dont want to spoil the leather part but the colth needs to be washed..help!!How do you clean/wash a tote bag (cloth bag) that has leather straps ?
Try rubbing the cloth with an eraser, the big ones that fall apart as you erase or try using something similar designed for cleaning swede. If you get it wet, chances are good you'll end up with water spots. If you have water spots to remove, you will have to get the whole surface wet so that it dries evenly. Try to avoid getting it wet. You could try a carpet or upholstery foam but test first where it won't show.

The leather straps can be freshened up with shoe polish but mask the cloth areas first with tape before you start as a precaution. :)How do you clean/wash a tote bag (cloth bag) that has leather straps ?
Maybe, the dry cleaners know what to do. Maybe they could remove the leather, clean the bag, and sew the leather back on all nice and neat.
hand wash it in the sink. don't get the leather wet, but you can take a scrub brush and scrub the cloth.then just hang it so that it can air dry.
