How do i wash/clean my umbrella cockatoo?

i have a eight year old cockatoo, and she hates it when i wash her with a spray bottle and is scared of the shower. is there a nother way?How do i wash/clean my umbrella cockatoo?
My cockatoos are hard to bath also. But the way I found to give them a bath was to put them in the bath tub one at a time and turn on the shower head to a fine mist spray and let them walk around in the tub. Adjust the water to a warm temperate so the warm water cuts thru their feathers. You can sit and watch them get totally wet. You don't have to touch them. They will get wet all by there self's .

Sometimes birds don't know how to bath. Especially the handfed ones. So you have to be very careful on how you introduce bathing.

Good luck! Have fun in the tub!

my parrot will take showers and also bathes in his water dish...i don't recommend trying to make your bird bathe in her dish, though. try filling a heavy bowl or tray with lukewarm water and putting it on the bottom of her cage or play area. some birds also like things to interact with like toys or veggies (parsley, celery, other greens...). my parakeet also just likes to rub on spritzed parsley but 'toos are a little big for that. you can ask your vet or pet shop, too, for recommendations or ideas. good luck ;)
I have a perch I put in the kitchen sink for my cockatoo, I turn the water on light and he loves to get under the water and stretch his wings out. You can also try putting a bowl with water in their cage so that they can get down on the bottom of the cage and wash themselves
