How do you clean/wash a tote bag (cloth bag) that has leather straps ?

please..i really need to wash mine and i dont want to spoil the leather part but the colth needs to be washed..help!!How do you clean/wash a tote bag (cloth bag) that has leather straps ?
Try rubbing the cloth with an eraser, the big ones that fall apart as you erase or try using something similar designed for cleaning swede. If you get it wet, chances are good you'll end up with water spots. If you have water spots to remove, you will have to get the whole surface wet so that it dries evenly. Try to avoid getting it wet. You could try a carpet or upholstery foam but test first where it won't show.





The leather straps can be freshened up with shoe polish but mask the cloth areas first with tape before you start as a precaution. :)How do you clean/wash a tote bag (cloth bag) that has leather straps ?
Maybe, the dry cleaners know what to do. Maybe they could remove the leather, clean the bag, and sew the leather back on all nice and neat.
hand wash it in the sink. don't get the leather wet, but you can take a scrub brush and scrub the cloth.then just hang it so that it can air dry.
