CLEANING YOUR
CABBAGE PATCH KID
Bath Time
To give your cabbage patch kids a bath, use warm water and mild soap, like Woolite. Do not get the hair or head wet. You can use a soft tooth brush to scrub heavy soiled areas. After a good washing squeeze out the water, do not wring. You may have to do this several times. Pat the doll dry with a towel and then let it air dry on a dry towel in a warm spot. You can put it outside in the sun to dry as well. Don't forget to turn it over after a while. Do Not put your cabbage patch doll in a bag or wrapped in a towel to dry. Make sure your cabbage patch doll is totally dry; you may want to keep it in the sun for a day or two just to make sure.
For Tough Stains
For really tough stains you can get a product called Dirt Devil. Choose the right Dirt Devil cleaner for the stain (grease, food, blood, etc.) and just follow the directions on the bottle.
Washing Your Face
Toothpaste and Oxy work great on getting ink and other marks off your cabbage patch kids face. Use finger nail polish remover for scuff marks. DO NOT get it in the eyes, freckles, rosy checks or other painted on features because it will take them off.
Fuzzy Hair
Use a pair of sharp scissors and clip off fuzzies. Be careful not to cut the hair or loops.
CornSilk Hair
Spritz water or a mild hair detangler on hair and use a hair pick or wide tooth comb and brush hair, starting at the bottom and working your way up. Gently work through knots and tangles. Let hair air dry.
