How do I wash/clean a cashmere Pashmina?

I would suggest following the care instructions on the care label, failing that, take it to your dry cleaners for their suggestions. How do I wash/clean a cashmere Pashmina?
If there is a care label follow instructions printed there.

Other ways to clean are:

* the classic oriental rug cleaning - works in winter only:

put it on freshly snowed snow and beat the dirt from the fabric into the snow

* the classic stand-by for DIY washing:

hand wash with luke-warm water and a detergent for delicates or a mild hair shampoo, work carefully until all stains are gone, rinse in slightly colder water, spread on flat surface to dry, iron on low setting only if really needed.

* the classic stand-by for the fearful:

go to your cleaners and hope that they know what they are doing.

Cashmere wool is typically quite self cleaning; there is normally no need to wash it.How do I wash/clean a cashmere Pashmina?
Look on the label for instructions. If all else fails, probably hand wash in cold water and lay out on a flat surface to dry, like a bed, or counter, or a sweater screen u can buy at Target or Walmart.
